CelebNMovies247.com reports that NBC15 reported that AMC Theatres announced Wednesday that movie lovers will soon be able to enjoy films on the big screen again.
The news outlet reports:
The movie theater chain wrote in a news release that 170 theaters will reopen as soon as Thursday as part of the second phase of their reopening plan. After these theaters are reopened, there will be a total of 300 theaters open across the country.
The theater chain has NEW RULES for moviegoers Safety:
There are also new safety and health policies, including simpler menus for shorter lines at concessions and reduced auditorium capacities. Masks are required for all guests, but neck gaiters, open-chin bandannas and masks with vents or exhalation valves are not allowed.
There also will be no drink or popcorn refills allowed and condiments will be available upon request.
ABC7 News reports:
AMC Theatres, the nation’s largest movie theater chain, is opening again today with retro ticket prices of 15 cents per movie.
AMC Entertainment, which owns the chain, said Thursday that it expects to open the doors to more than 100 cinemas – or about a sixth of its nationwide locations – on Aug. 20 with throwback pricing for a day.
The AMC website announced its RULES if you will be heading back to the theater:
- Masks Required for All: – Because we care about your health, masks are required for guests and crew throughout the theatre. Your mask must cover your nose and mouth and fit snugly around your face and chin.
- Food & Drinks in the Auditorium: – In the auditorium, masks are still required but may be removed while enjoying food and drinks.
- Social Distancing Standards: – Please remember to maintain distance before, during, and after the movie.
- Reduced Auditorium Capacities: – All AMC, AMC DINE-IN™ and AMC CLASSIC® auditoriums are at 40% capacity or less, based on municipality guidelines. In auditoriums with AMC Signature Recliners, our new ticketing technology will block the seats on either side of your selection, and there is already enough space between rows to allow for social distancing.
