CelebNMovies247.com reports Paul Rudd did one of the most creative ways of telling fans of Ghostbusters by standing outside of the Ghostbusters firehouse in New York City. He let answering the to join Jason Reitman’s upcoming Ghostbusters 3.
The Avengers: Endgame actor made the announcement today via the official Ghostbusters social media accounts and he could not be happier.
Note, the movie is now called Ghostbusters 2020. Reitman has been putting his sequel together over the last few months and fans of the franchise are starting to get excited about what the director is getting ready to do.
What we know so far:
Ghostbusters 2020 will feature Paul Rudd as a teacher. No further details have been made available, but it is believed he will be working at the school Finn Wolfhard and Mckenna Grace’s characters attend.
Story details are being kept under wraps, but Jason Reitman is extremely excited to have Rudd on board. He had this to say in a statement.
I’ve been wanting to work with Paul Rudd since my short film opened for Wet Hot American Summer at Sundance. I’m thrilled he’ll be joining this new chapter in the original Ghostbusters universe.
Paul Rudd also confirmed the news other cast members joining Ghostbusters 2020 are Sigourney Weaver and Annie Potts who have confirmed they will be in the long awaited sequel.
Weaver also says the rest of the cast, including Ernie Hudson, Dan Aykroyd, and Bill Murray will be in the movie too.
