Ron Howard Hurt 'Star Wars' Fans Snubbing Solo

We don’t understand why Star Wars fans are not flocking out to see SOLO, the movie is everything you wanted and more regarding Han Solo’s past. We feel Ron Howard did an exceptional job directing Solo: A Star Wars Story.

Unfortunately, Ron Howard feels hurt that ‘Star Wars’ fans are snubbing his film, Solo: A Star Wars Story. Read on to see what the beloved director is saying…

Ron Howard Hurt 'Star Wars' Fans Snubbing SoloCelebNMovies247.com can’t say enough good about the standalone Han Solo film directed by Ron Howard and stars Alden Ehrenreich, Donald Glover, Emilia Clarke and Woody Harrelson.

Solo: A Star Wars Story is having a horrible run in the box office and according to Disney the film has apparently failed to capture the imagination of ‘Star Wars’ fans. We disagree, being Star Wars fans ourselves, the Ron Howard film is the origin of Han Solo and he captures it perfectly. Unfortunately its global box off takings expected to peak at around $400 million.

Some are saying that they’ve been snubbing Solo b/c they’re still upset over Last Jedi.

We can understand that, but like SW fan Kris Fairbanks tweeted “they’re missing out & punishing a good film for something, not its fault. (sic)”

meanwhile, Ron Howard is taking the backlash to heart.

The 64-year-old director had this to say:

I’m proud of #SoloAStarWarsStory and the cast & crew worked hard to give fans a fun new addition. As a director I feel badly when people who I believe (& exit polls show) will very likely enjoy a movie… don’t see it on a big screen w/great sound.

Howard has revealed he saw Solo as a “creative experiment” stating:

For me, it was a kind of creative experiment to build on some cool creative thoughts and some fun ideas that had been launched ahead of me – and under pressure, because I did come in and there was a release date that the studio had in mind.

As for, Solo, it was recently reported the film is poised to become the first of the ‘Star Wars’ movies made by Disney and Lucasfilm to make a loss due to poor box office takings.

It had to happen sometime, but what will this mean for the other origin films still set to go into production?

We believe that the backlash may have come from the negative reports about Phil Lord and Christopher Miller making a mess of the film by trying to make it a comedic mockery of Star Wars. Howard came on board to clean up the mess and reported reshot 3/4 of the movie to make it right.

It sucks because we really want to see a sequel to Solo.

If you haven’t seen Solo, go out and see it, It is way better than Star Wars: The Last Jedi.
