Interest FACTS:

One thing that Santa Cruz and The Lost Boys have in common is “the murder capital of the world.”

  1. Back in the 70s, Santa Cruz Boardwalk made headlines because of a serial killer.
  2. The movie is also homoerotic – showing 4 boys living together with no interest in Star (the female vampire). Corey Haim’s room has posters of Rob Lowes abs and more.
  3. Michael’s name is said over 200 times in the film – it’s a subliminal way for you to love the protagonist.
  4. Ben Stiller auditioned for one of the vampires but lost it to Sutherland.
  5. The movie was made into a sexy vampire movie with young hot men which spawned a slew of knock-offs.
