When it comes to horror Friday the 13th movies, Kane Hodder is the man behind the mask. That’s 4 out of the 12 slasher movies made.
These days Friday the 13th franchise is still tied up with legal troubles that have put a halt on everything from movies to video games and even action figures. This leaves everything in limbo.
While Halloween is sizzling with success, Friday the 13th fans are in waiting for the film to get a proper return. With that said, Kane Hodder who played Jason four times wants to reprise the role. Read on…
CelebNMovies247.com reports Kane Hodder chopped it up with ComicBook.com talking about Friday‘s future and what he would like to see from the next installment.
Hodder told the site:
I just think that when they do do a 13th one, it certainly couldn’t hurt to bring me back as Jason, unless it’s in 20 years, maybe. But it certainly couldn’t hurt the success of the movie, I don’t think, having the only person that’s played the role more than once to come back for the final one. I think that part would be interesting.
Hodder continued:
But I’d like to see, if, in fact, they say this is the final one, I’d like to see some of the characters that survived come back, like Corey Feldman’s character (Tommy Jarvis), and somehow written into the story why they’re back. It could be an interesting storyline, having people that survived Jason come back. ‘Oh, I remember that girl’ or, ‘I remember that guy from previous movies and they never got killed.’ I think it could be an interesting storyline.
Tom concluded by saying:
So many lifetime horror fans that have watched every Friday movie, I think it’d be fun for them to see faces they recognize. I really think it’d be an interesting way to bring the horror fans some kind of closure with this series to have me come back one more time and people that survived.
Hodder returning as Jason Vorhees would be a great addition Friday the 13th if and when it gets made. Halloween brought Jamie Lee Curtis back as Laurie Strode, so why not.
Since his portrayal as Jason, Hodder has another iconic killer to his list of achievements and that’s Victor Crowley from the Hatchett franchise.
