Wonder Woman 1984 Trailer Is Here

Warner Bros. Wonder Woman 1984 Trailer Is Here.

The DCEU is shaping up with the highly anticipated Wonder Woman 1984 Trailer. Continue on and watch…

CelebNMovies247.com has your first look at director Patty Jenkins second Wonder Woman movie for the DCEU. The sequel is penned by Patty Jenkins, Geoff Johns, and Dave Callaham.

This time Wonder Woman 1984 is set obviously, in the mid-1980s, the followup to te successful first female action hero movie which has spawned Marvel to begin focusing on their female superhero films.

Wonder Woman is also the first highly successful DC Superhero movie in the franchise. The second was Aquaman and then Shazam. The DCEU is great with their solo superhero movies and it looks like Wonder Woman 1984 will be just as good.

It has that Thor Ragnarock vibe with the trailer as well as the iconic “Blue Monday” hit from the 80s by New Order. Hopefully, we get more 80s hits in the upcoming sequel say Depeche Mode, The Cure, Simple Minds, Haircut 100, B52’s, Talking Heads, Adam Ant, Billy Idol and even Kim Wilde’s “Kids In America.” One movie that killed it with the soundtrack from the 80s was Atomic Blonde. Now that movie really did it right soundtrack wise. We hope Jenkins puts that 80s magic in the soundtrack with standout New Wave music. And yes, in the 80s it was called New Wave, NOT alternative music.

In Wonder Woman 1984 the next film to feature Diana Prince takes place as the titular hero “comes into conflict with the Soviet Union during the Cold War in the 1980s and finds a formidable foe by the name of the Cheetah.”

Kristen Wiig plays the villainous The Cheetah and we are hoping it doesn’t come off like Sharon Stone’s villain in the Halle Berry Cat Woman bomb. Maybe a new edit of the trailer showing Wiig as Cheetah may help prove she’s a good villain, so far we’re a bit worried to see her in WW84.

However, the posters are vibrant, electrifying and cool.

WW84 opens in theaters on June 5, 2020
