CelebNMovies247.com is hearing via Deadline that Warner Bros and DC are in talks with Kristen Wiig to play the role of Cheetah.

A Wonder Woman 2 photo surface of Gal Gadot back and director Patty Jenkins, indicating that the sequel will be set in the 80s in the Cold War.

The sequel is moving fast since the DCEU needs another strong superhero movie. The film will once again symbolize female empowerment, especially now that the hero and the villain are both women.

As long as it doesn’t come off like the dreadful Catwoman movie starring Halle Berry and Sharon Stone. This is a good look for Wiig, since the last time we saw her play a villain was in 2016 as Alexanya Atoz in Zoolander 2.

Wiig is that right type of eccentric to take on the role of Cheetah. Cheetah made her first appearance in Wonder Woman #6 (October 1943). She is the major adversary of the superhero Wonder Woman.

According to DC Comics wiki (comics), there have been four different incarnations of the Cheetah since the character’s debut: Priscilla Rich (the Golden and Silver Age Cheetah), Deborah Domaine (the Bronze Age Cheetah), Barbara Ann Minerva (the post-Crisis and current Cheetah), and Sebastian Ballesteros (a male usurper who briefly assumed the role in 2001). It will be interesting which of the three female versions Wiig will be playing.

The film is top priority for Warner Bros, after the first grossed $821 million worldwide.
