Read on about the Kick-Ass & Hit-Girl Reboot…
CelebNMovies247.com has learned that a Kick-Ass & Hit-Girl Reboot is in the works and Matthew Vaughn and his production company Marv are at the helm.
The details on Kick-Ass & Hit-Girl Reboot are slim, and there is no release date set.
Since the first Kick-Ass film back in 2010, director Matthew Vaughn has gone on to film X-Men: First Class, and writer of X-Men: Days of Future Past, Kingsman: The Secret Service and Kingsman: The Golden Circle.
Now, he is ready to return to the movie that started his career.
Who will Play Hit-Girl?
As for, the Kick-Ass sequel, it became something of a sore spot for most of the people involved. Actress Chloë Grace Moretz seemingly no longer wanted anything to do with the franchise, which left the announced Hit-Girl spin-off DEAD in the water.
Despite the road bumps with Hit-Girl spin-off floundering, Vaughn revealed that they still had plans for the future of the franchise. Returning to the project gives him a chance for him to explore further into Mark Millar’s comics.
Kick-Ass will Return but with African American vigilante named Patience Lee:
What we have learned is that Vaughn revealed that he would be interested in having the movie star Patience Lee, who is a female, African American vigilante that takes up the Kick-Ass mantle.
Who will Play Patience Lee?
He is eyeing Thor: Ragnarok and Creed 2 actress Tessa Thompson to play Patience Lee in a Kick-Ass movie. Thompson is becoming more and more popular in Hollywood every year, so by the time that the Kick-Ass reboot does come along, she should hopefully have enough star power to take the lead.
Until we have some concrete information on the Kick-Ass & Hit-Girl Reboot which Empire first reported, this is all speculation since it is in early discussion.
