While most fans still want a Sex and the City 3 movie, it seems Carrie Bradshaw and the girls won’t be heading back to the big screen because of Kim Cattrall and Sarah Jessica Parker falling out.
Moving forward, it has been 20 years since ‘Sex and the City’ first aired, and now Sarah Jessica Parker is weighing in on the HBO series. Read on…
CelebNMovies247.com has the latest from Sarah Jessica Parker, 53, who starred in the sitcom as Carrie Bradshaw for six years during its run from 1998 to 2004.
Sarah Jessica Parker and her on-screen pals Cynthia Nixon, who played Miranda Hobbes, Kristin Davis, who played Charlotte York Goldenblatt, and Kim Cattrall, who starred as Samantha Jones are immortalized as the four good girlfriends who are there for each other no matter what happens in their search for love in New York City.
Sarah Jessica Parker who says it’s “hard to imagine” that the show is still a big hit with fans despite having been off the air for over a decade.
What Jessica Parker doesn’t seem to realize is that Carrie Bradshaw will forever speak to women of all generations.
During her interview on the ‘Today’ show, Sarah Jessica said:
It’s sort of hard to imagine that 20 or 21 years has passed. But, [there’s been] a lot of great memories and pride in that time spent as well.
She took to Instagram posting:
Choosing Pictures/words Almost impossible – Where to begin? – It’s too much. “Were those some of the best years of your life?” Abso-f&*#-ing-lutely. X, SJ
As we’ve previously reported the third Sex and the City movie was canceled because of “diva demands” from Kim Cattrall, and after Sarah Jessica said she was “disappointed” by the production’s cancellation after a feud was sparked between the pair. This would have been the followup and conclusion of the movie series. Now, fans are left unknown what happens.
Here is our synopsis of SATC3:
We feel that the Sex and the City 3 should still happen, even if it has to start off with Samantha Jones funeral, so be it. Her death should be like she got hit by a car or having sex with multiple men, maybe suffocates on giving a blow job, NOT cancer! It could be the talk at the funeral to lighten up things. The show is about the fans and the studio and ladies should understand that. Plus, it would be a reason for the friends to get back together. In fact, they could play on Carrie and Samantha falling out, and how Carrie didn’t get a chance to say goodbye to her dear friend before her death. Meanwhile, Miranda and Steve could be having another baby and Charlotte could be going back to what she loves, art. While Big and Carrie are having a baby, surrogate, because Carrie can’t get pregnant she’s challenge with having a surrogate, while the ladies are just trying to refind themselves after Samantha’s passing. In the end, they can name the baby Samantha.
Sarah Jessica said:
[Cynthia, Kristin, and I] have shared our disappointment that we’re not making that movie, not just on our behalf but our crew, but also just the people that have been vocal about wanting to see it. But we still live in a free country where people get to make choices, and sometimes the answer is ‘no,’ and the only way to respond for me is to respect that. But, no, there is no catfight, there never has been a catfight.
Parker debunked the rumors of a feud stating:
I’ve never fought with someone publicly in my life, nor would I. And I spent time with all of the women on the set. People need to recall that it wasn’t just two women on the set fighting, because that just never happened. We are enormously proud of what we got to do … We spent 10, 12 years of our life doing something that I really loved and I feel privileged to be part of and I don’t want this to eclipse it or change its experience for that audience that was so good to us for so long.
We still want SATC 3 – what about you?
