CelebNMovies247.com has the latest on James Wan made it known over on his Facebook page today that he’s in the “home stretch” of filming new horror movie Malignant, and no, it’s not based on Wan’s comic book Malignant Man.

What we know so far about James Wan Malignant!

Bloody Disgusting posted the news first that Malignant is an original thriller that’s not based on any existing IP, Wan himself recently clarified.

Currently, there is no information or plot details at this time. As we said, the film is in the “home stretch” of filming and still under wraps.

Though, you can check out a behind the scenes photo that Wan shared through Facebook.

As far as the cast goes, we know that Annabelle Wallis (Annabelle and X-Men: First Class) and Jake Abel are on board, with The Nun’s Ingrid Bisu helping out with the script.

We have also learned that Maddie Hasson, George Young, Michole Briana White, and Jacqueline McKenzie are also in the upcoming film.

Wan is directing for his Atomic Monster production label with New Line Cinema distributing.

Malignant will release in theaters on August 14, 2020.
