Director Ava DuVernay (Selma, 13th), is the first woman of color to helm a $100 million budget Hollywood film is remarkable. Though, it is still shocking that it took the industry until 2018 to allow this barrier to be broken. We feel A Wrinkle in Time is a family fun film; the film seems to be an all-over-the-place journey.

Reese Witherspoon is utterly enjoyable, but for us it was Charles Wallace (Deric McCabe) who is the standout in the film. Deric and Reese are the protagonists of the film. They make the movie enjoyable and fun. Oprah is the wisdom and Mindy the philosophical and fun aspect. Overall, the movie is lots of fun, and visually stunning.
