No worries, we have 5 Comic-Con MUST KNOW Moments that happened this weekend…
CelebNMovies247.com has the 5 Comic-Con MUST KNOW Moments we feel that you need to know about if you are trying to stay on top of your movie news.
In addition to our 4 big reveals from Friday, Comic-Con 2018 had many surprises, with major movie trailers like Aquaman, Godzilla 2, and more movie trailers like Shazam!, and previous years.
5. Marvel Fans Want Thor: Ragnarok Director for Guardians 3:
With the FIRING of James Gunn because of some tweets from over a decade ago, Marvel fans are looking to director Taika Waititi to carry the torch and helm the driver’s seat for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.
Taika Waititi did such an amazing job telling a story that combined action, comedy while telling a great story is more than likely to be the right person for the job. Gunn has incredible vision and knows the GOTG Universe so well it’s hard to envision someone else directing his baby.
Here is what one fan said about Taika taking over for Gunn:
Let Taika Waititi direct guardians of the galaxy 3 you cowards the space visuals + effortless humor he came thru within thor: Ragnarok would add up to a better good movie than James Gunn could ever dream of making.
4. Jeremy Renner Teases Hawkeye’s Return in Avengers 4:
Apparently, Jeremy Renner will make a triumphant return in the upcoming and final Avengers film, Avengers 4.
The tea spilled when Jeremy Renner posted a picture of himself on social media as he prepares to join the Russo Brothers for Avengers 4 reshoots in Atlanta.
Both Hawkeye and Ant-Man were missing from Infinity War, but thanks to promotional material and leaked photos from the set, we know that both characters will be back for Avengers 4 to help take down Thanos.
This should really make for a great movie, and this may also help reveal how the Avengers will shape up since some of the characters will NOT survive Thanos finger snapping swipe of life.
Do you have any idea how Hawkeye and Ant-Man will help to recoup the surviving Avengers, will Doctor Strange somehow turn back time?
Comic-Con MUST KNOW Moments No 3 is; Selma Blair Urges Disney’s Marvel to Rehire James Gunn:
Actress Selma Blair has taken to the defense of director James Gunn alongside actor Chris Pratt urging fans to sign a petition to have Marvel/Disney to rehire Gunn.
Blair posted this on social media:
Marvel: RE-HIRE JAMES GUNN – Sign the Petition! https://chn.ge/2JIuUrB via @Change. Because if people are punished despite changing, then what does that teach people about owning mistakes and evolving? This man is one of the good ones.
Later on Sunday, Guardians of the Galaxy star Chris Pratt appeared to defend Gunn as well, tweeting a verse from the Bible, quoting James 1:19:
Understand this, my dear brothers and sisters. Let every person be quick to listen, slow to speak, slow to anger.
Drax actor Dave Bautista was also NOT OK with Marvel and Disney’s deciscion to FIRE Gunn.
He said:
I will have more to say but for right now all I will say is this..@JamesGunn is one of the most loving, caring, good natured people I have ever met. He’s gentle and kind and cares deeply for people and animals. He’s made mistakes. We all have. Im NOT ok with what’s happening to him.
The next Comic-Con MUST KNOW Moments is:
2. Ryan Reynolds agrees that Green Lantern and X-Men: Origins Are Awful:
It comes as no surprise that Ryan Reynolds agrees that Green Lantern and X-Men: Origins were awful, but that mainly has to do with the critics bashing Latern and the Wolverine film making a lame version of Deadpool.
When asked about his previous Marvel movie moments during a Q&A at Comic-Con the Deadpool 2 star Reynolds took the question in stride and had the perfect answer.
He noted that he was grateful for the “wellspring of awesome jokes” for Deadpool and that he appreciated both movies.
But Ryan Reynolds kept it real saying:
Both were amazing experiences and I had a ball making them. As an actor, you are blessed to be in that position to shoot any movie that size, so I appreciate the chance… But yeah, they are both pretty bad.
Comic-Con MUST KNOW Moments no. 1 – Gal Gadot says, “Wonder Woman 1984 Is Not a Sequel”:
When discussing Wonder Woman 1984 at the DC Comic-Con panel, Patty Jenkins commented on the 1980s being the perfect timing for the next installment to take place
This whole idea led to more specific questions about the “sequel,” which obviously could not be answered.
Actor Chris Pine was asked about his return, but he kept tight-lipped about Steve Trevor’s new role in the 1980s.
Meanwhile, Gal Gadot then chimed in to say that she doesn’t believe that the production is a direct sequel to last year’s Wonder Woman.
Gadot stated:
It’s not a sequel. It’s a new chapter. It’s a whole new movie.
Basically, this sounds like another chapter in Wonder Woman’s life, which is not a direct sequel but a chapter from some of her previous adventures, this one so happens to be in 1984.

Our first look at ‘Wonder Woman 1984’ footage at Comic-Con showed Gal Gadot whipping out the lasso of truth in a shopping mall.
