We have some news on the new Purge movie titled The Purge Survival which will be directed by Sara Jimenez and penned by Austin Ellen.

Based on the original concept created by James DeMonaco The Purge Survival will follow Blake Simmons (Austin Ellen) and her fiancé, Colin Ford (Josh Gilmer).

In The Purge Survival, Blake and Colin are invited to the home of Blake’s mother, Laurel, to wait out the night of the purge, however, it is a trap that was constructed to kill Blake and collect her life insurance the next day.

Recently, creator James DeMonaco weighed in on his Purge movies which have been a refreshing new horror genre. The films touched on societies dark side, racism, politics and the “what it factors” if killing and murder were legal for 12 hours.

However, DeMonaco feels its time for the franchise to come to an end, saying:

We want to end it all, I think, in this one, and I’m very excited. When I came up with the idea and pitched it to everybody, they seemed psyched, and I think it will be a really cool ending, how we take this one home.

Now we did notice that the writer of The Purge Survival is NOT written by James DeMonaco so that makes us ask, “is there one more after The Purge Survival that James DeMonaco is writing?
