CelebNMovies247.com reports that Vin Diesel is finally speaking on James Gunn being rehired to direct Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.
Last year, a conservative Twitter account tried to sabotage Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 director James Gunn digging up old tweets. We all have a past and this was one of the dirtiest stunts to publically RUIN Gunn. James ended up losing his job as director of his project which was already written and ready to start filming.
In the process, it sabotaged Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 being done properly. There was a great deal of backlash from fans, as well as those in Hollywood, including the cast, in regards to Disney’s decision.
Ultimately Disney had a change of heart and rehired Gunn for the gig last month. Now, Diesel has shared his thoughts on the matter.
While in a “Dom state of mind…” Vin briefly addressed the decision by Disney to rehire James Gunn. He didn’t say the director’s name directly, it’s crystal clear what he was discussing.
Last week, Vin Diesel attended the premiere of Avengers: Endgame. The actor, who voices Groot in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, took to Instagram to share some of his thoughts on the matter:
Later in the week I had the luxury of seeing [Marvel Studios president] Kevin Feige and [co-president] Louis [D’Esposito], and it’s amazing to see how sacred the Groot character is to the whole Marvel universe. Shout out to Alan Horn for using his heart to in making the right decisions for Guardians 3.
For the most part, Vin Diesel has been somewhat quiet about the whole thing. Vin Diesel also talked a bit about the love he felt during the Avengers: Endgame premiere.
He said:
I was at the premiere in the beginning of the week and it was so cool to get all of that love from the cast. More importantly, it was amazing to see that outpouring of love for the Groot character, Three monosyllabic words, from the fans.
He also said in the video that he “Hopes to make you [Fast & Furious fans] proud… Blessed.”
