In 1977 I was a young boy wide-eyed and filled with excitement as I headed to the theater to see George Lucas’ new sci-fi movie Star Wars.

I waited in line for 3 hours with my dad. We sat center in the theater. The lights went out in the theater and I was I couldn’t hold back my excitement as I learned about Luke Skywalker, who had to save Princess Leia from Dark Vader. Then there was Han Solo and Chewbacca, C3PO, and R2D2, the movie was pure magic. I knew I was heading to Hollywood to be a part of the movie industry. I loved all the special effects and an incredible story. Then in 1980 “The Empire Strikes Back” turned me into a mega fan. I saw the movie 10 times in the theater. In 83, “Return of the Jedi” concluded the three-movie saga and I wanted more. I wondered when will I get to see the other six films. Now 42 years have past and the final installment of Star Wars is here.

Fast forward to now, 42 years later, the conclusion Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker wraps up nine movies over four decades. And like the little boy I was in 1977, I had the same excitement to see the final chapter in the saga. I couldn’t wait to see Rise of Skywalker, I felt like a little kid again and I watched the movie. I didn’t want to say goodbye to the characters I came to love so much. Star Wars has always been a huge part of my life. Whenever things were troublesome, Star Wars movies could always help me get through it all. And every now and then, I still binge and watch them all.

Why Rise of Skywalker Is a Perfect Conclusion:

When it comes to Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, J.J. Abrams executed the film beautifully. The story is told very well, and the action is great, if you are a true Star Wars fan you will love this one. Yes, this is the final chapter in the 9-movie saga, but it tells the Skywalker story perfectly.
It is visually splendid and the build-up to Rey (Daisy Ridley), the Jedi Knight who’s in the midst of trying to figure out, who she is has one of those classic Star Wars “OMG” moments. There are so many references in “The Rise of Skywalker” during the festival, referencing that it only happens every 42-years. Another reference comes when Rey faces off with Kylo Ren (Adam Driver), the First Order commander who’s certain that he’s figured out the Dark Side, battle on the ruins of the Death Star. The spot where OB1 turns off the reactor to help blow it up in the original film. Or the window Luke is blown out of before finding out that Darth Vader is his father in the “The Empire Strikes Back.” There are so many references in this film completing the story we all have grown older with.

Their battle takes place in the midst of a violent storm as crashing waves pound on the ruins of the rotting Death Star Luke Skywalker blew out of the galaxy. The film is a 360 spectrum of past and present. There are cameos to make you remember all the years and more.

Why John Boyega Makes the Movie Emotionally Great:

What made Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker so great is the chemistry between Rey (Ridley) and Fin (John Boyega) who is emotionally brilliant in this film. He is really the glue in this film. John really makes you feel his heart, his pain, and the urgency to drive this film. Boyega and Poe Dameron (Oscar Isaac) chemistry are just as strong which is reminiscent of Han Solo (Harrison Ford) and Luke (Mark Hamill). Lastly, we loved how Abrams was able to bring Carrie Fisher back as Leia in Rise. Like we said a few times “The Rise of Skywalker” is beautifully done, and I am glad that J. J. went with his gut, the movie is a classic.

The Rise of Skywalker is an Instant Classic:

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker the ninth and final chapter of the saga that Lucas started, is sure to be a record-shattering hit. The movie moves quickly and is just as powerful as “The Empire Strikes Back” and touching and fulfilling as “Star Wars: Return of the Jedi.” I can definitely say that we will be seeing The Rise of Skywalker a few more times in theaters (IMAX and Dolby Surround). I will say this, I saw that there could be a least two spin-offs from this movie.
