CelebNMovies247.com has the latest on Marvel Entertainment and Twentieth Century FoxThe New Mutant that will be joining the cast to amp up the terror of the film and make it a true horror movie.
Josh Boone (The Fault in Our Stars, The Stand) promised a horror X-Men movie and now he will b delivering his promise thanks to reshoots.
This past week, Anya Taylor-Joy, who plays Illyana Rasputin (aka Magik), told Playlist:
“I do think that there is a great responsibility to make sure the movie is done right and that we deliver the fans something that they can all feel happy about and excited about. So, I don’t think it being delayed is a bad thing because it’s definitely more important to make sure that we get it right than rushing to make a date. So, hopefully, all of these reshoots and adding of the new character that will give the fans an altogether satisfactory, wonderful product.”
What we are hearing is that the rumored character is Warlock, a young alien with a body that can assume any shape. Though, the new character is still unconfirmed at this point in time.
The synopsis is about, “five young mutants, just discovering their abilities while held in a secret facility against their will, fight to escape their past sins and save themselves.”
The cast includes Henry Zaga as Roberto da Costa a.k.a Sunspot, a mutant with the ability to absorb and channel solar power; Blu Hunt as Danielle Moonstar, the Native American telepath also known as “Mirage”; Alice Braga as Dr. Cecilia Reyes, a medical doctor who has the ability to generate a protective bio-field around herself but also has more going on than she lets on; Anya Taylor-Joy as Illyana Rasputin, also known as Magik, who uses teleportation; Charlie Heaton as Sam Guthrie, a.k.a. Cannonball; and Maisie Williams as Rahne Sinclair, a.k.a. Wolfsbane, who can turn into a wolf.
