Why Chris Hemsworth + Men In Black = Could Box Office Gold?
The reason we are saying this is that Chris Hemsworth appeals to women and men. Female fans want to do him, and men want to either be him or sleep with him. He’s a win win as the lead in the remake of MIB.
The Hollywood Reporter confirms that Chris Hemsworth is in negotiations to join the Men in Black reboot. Rather than remake the original film, this new Men in Black is being said to be akin to Jurassic World – creating new characters that piggy-back off a previously existing franchise. THR reports the film will be set in London, and Sony wants to cast “a white character, a black woman, and an older man” for the three leads. Not sure who they could cast for the “older man”, but I wouldn’t be surprised if Sony is hoping to land Tiffany Haddish to co-star along Hemsworth.
Why This is a HUGE win for Hemsworth?
This could work out perfectly since Hemsworth contract as Thor is complete. Like, Men In Black star Will Smith, who found HUGE success after he parlayed his comedic abilities from Independence Day to MIB. The sci-fi comedy helped cement Will Smith as a bonafide blockbuster star. It appears Sony is trying to do the same thing for Chris Hemsworth after his incredible performance in Ragnarok.

MIB continues to resonate with fans, but out of all the films the original and Men in Black 3, featuring Josh Brolin are the two most popular films to watch. Doing a reboot like the Hellboy franchise might breath new life into a new chance of a franchise.
We hope they get a great comedic actor to take on Hemsworth’s partner, like Aml Ameen (The Maze Runner) or another black actor who needs more recognition and can play comedy action well.
