CelebNMusic247.com reports The DCEU is taking a leaf out of Deadpool’s book and focusing on the ‘comic’ aspect of the comic book.
The Hollywood Reporter reports:
The DC Universe is pursuing a movie based on the character of Plastic Man, a stretchy superhero.
They have selected Amanda Idoko, a rising star with ABC sitcom The Mayor under her belt, to pen the script, and are hoping to keep the silly aspects of the cult character’s previous appearances.
DC’s first comedy superhero film, Shazam!, is due to release in April of next year, and star Zachary Levi recently shared the poster for the film. Back in November, Levi also confirmed that the film was undergoing reshoots, or rather “additional photography”, but no need to worry.
The next big DCEU movie is Jason Momoa’s Aquaman which hits the big screen on December 21.
