CelebNMovies247.com reports Aquaman star Jason Momoa speaks on the fate of Justice League returning with Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill.
You can’t blame the stars for this mess up, no this one goes to the Joss Whedon’s reshoots that cut Zack Snyder 175 min version to 120 mins.
It has been over a year since Justice League hit theaters, and proceeded to earn mostly bad reviews and lose lots of money at the box office. The movie lacked story, it felt slapped together and fans have demanded to see Snyder’s version.
The DCEU looks to regroup with this month’s release of James Wan’s Aquaman solo film, which chronicles the journey of Arthur Curry (Momoa) from half-human/half-Atlantean misfit to a worthy king of Atlantis.
Which leads us to the latest on Jason Momoa who spoke on the rumored departures of both Affleck and Cavill from the DCEU to the Huffington Post.
He responded in his usual forthright way:
If they’re both out, then listen: It’s just the place they’re at in their careers. I mean, how many have Henry doing? He’s done three? Yeah, I mean, like, you want to move on. I think if I did… shit, I have done three. … I mean, Henry wants to just expand on something. Ben is an amazing director that is of age, and probably he’s done enough. I don’t know how to speak on behalf of them, but I had the time of my life [on ‘Justice League’].
One thing we know is that Momoa isn’t going anywhere because he is currently under contract for at least one more DCEU film after Aquaman. However, reports are already in that Aquaman 2 is happening and another Justice League is coming.
Hopefully, Snyder cut of Justice League will see the light of day, because the DCU NEEDS to redeem the foundation film for the superheroes.
