The breakout actor from the cult classic sci-fi film Attack the Block, John Boyega has come a long way now that he’s part of the Star Wars trilogy. Over the past couple years he’s been on his grind in movies like the techno dystopian thriller The Circle, and the true life story of Detroit. He can be seen in 2018 manning one of the new “Mark VI” Jaegers designs in Pacific Rim: Uprising.
For now, John Boyega is talking about his role as Fin in The Last Jedi. We were not at the press day this year, but our friends at Screen Rant got a chance to talk to dream interview with John Boyega.
We have been following him since Attack the Block, and new he was going to a major contender in film. During the interview, the site tried to get some details about Rey and Finn reunion in Star Wars: The Last Jedi, but of course he replied with this:
“Why would I tell you that?”
John was next asked about Rey and Finn great chemistry together in the first film and will it continue in Last Jedi.

Boyega said:
“They are separate. It’s a separate transitioning. You haven’t watched the trailers, have you?”
He adds:
“Well, yeah. There’s a… Rey we know is with Luke and Finn is with the Resistance and so there’s there’s a separation in this.”
When asked about Finn wielding a lightsaber and using the Force in Last Jedi, he had this to say:
“Let Finn use whatever he has to use to survive these films.(Laughs) Because things are really dangerous in the galaxy right now. so I’m open to a lot of those things. A lightsaber is always good in your hand and it’s always good to have one.”
