While speaking to LRM about Bent, Karl Urban leaked some insight on ST4:
“Here’s the thing—they’re in the really early stages of development at this time. Quentin is about to direct his Hollywood film [Once Upon a Time in Hollywood] with Brad Pitt and [Leonardo] DiCaprio. You’re talking about a film after a film. Ultimately, at the end of the day, the ball is in Paramount’s court. Hopefully, they’ll green light another Star Trek movie. If they do it, then it’ll be a lot of fun.”
Bent is directed by and stars Karl Urban, Sofia Vergara, Andy Garcia and more. The film is about “a discredited former cop connects a murder case to an elaborate conspiracy involving high-stakes treason.”
While interviewing with JoBlo, Urban revealed that the sci-fi film starts shooting very soon:
“I have such a blast working on those Star Trek movies. You know, that cast, we’re like family at this point. I’m pretty confident within, hopefully the next year, that we’ll be back on the set.”
What we know is that Quentin Tarantino is writer and director of the upcoming untitled Star Trek project. There are no details on a release date official title or who is coming back to star in the film. We also know currently gearing up to direct Leonardo DiCaprio and Brad Pitt in Once Upon A Time In Hollywood. It’s rumored that Tarantino is gunning to get Margot Robbie for the role of Sharon Tate.
He has also announced the long-awaited sequel Kill Bill: Vol. 3.
