Texas Chainsaw Massacre Remake In The Works

Texas Chainsaw Massacre Remake coming from Legendary, Bad Hombre Films!

Fans have been waiting a long time for a proper reboot of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and now, it finally seems like they’re going to get one.

If you ask us, we’re just tired of the constant remakes of The Texas Chainsaw Massacre because they’ve all sucked except for 2003 The Texas Chainsaw Massacre starring Jessica Beil. Since then, they’ve all been terrible. Word is a new deal with Legendary, Bad Hombre will have them do another reboot of the 1974 horror movie. Read on for more about the upcoming Texas Chainsaw Massacre Remake…

CelebNMovies247.com already reported that Fede Alvarez landed a new deal with Legendary, Bad Hombre and the first project is a White House horror movie that will be like The Shining.

In addition to making something original, the new deal with Legendary, Bad Hombre will have them do another reboot of the 1974 horror movie “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre” to be written by Chris Thomas Devlin.

There have been eight “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre” movies. The original which spawned two sequels in the 80s and 90s. After that, the studio decided to do a terrible next-gen movie with Matthew McConaughey and Renée Zellweger who NEVER wanted to see that movie on the big screen. They knew the movie was trash and it was.

The franchise redeemed itself in 2003 with The Texas Chainsaw Massacre starring Jessica Beil, Mike Vogel, and Jonathan Tucker directed by Marcus Nispel.

Since then, there have been three more remakes and they all were garbage so it appears that the studio wants to redeem the franchise again. Hopefully, after this one, they lay Leatherface to rest. It’s time they focus on another terrifying and horrible series of events from another serial killer.

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre tells the story of a group of adolescents who inadvertently find themselves being hunted by a demented family of cannibals. The film starts out innocently enough, as a bunch of young adults head into the forgotten parts of the Lone Star State to visit an old homestead. What happens next, however, terrified an entire generation of viewers while simultaneously redefining the horror genre for decades to come.

If you’ve NEVER watched the “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre” watch the original and “The Texas Chainsaw Massacre II” directed by Tobe Hooper (Poltergeist, The Funhouse) (Note when it came out in theaters it was Rated x for violence and gore).  If you want to watch anymore watch the 2003 remake/reboot.

Those are the only ones worth watching. The others will rob you of your time and life. They’re dreadful.
